Sochi Saigonese Kitchen inChicago, NYis seeking experienced and hard-working part-time Line Cooks to join our team.

At Sochi Saigonese Kitchen the flavors of each dish are inspired by wife-and-husband Chinh Pham and Son Do’s memories of growing up in Saigon. Sochiis introducing Chicagoans to a more traditional, yet elevated take on Vietnamese cuisine. It all comes down to the hidden details, the extra steps that people may not even notice, that make each dish we serve special.

Position:

• Line Cook

Compensation:

• $20 hourly + tipsstarting rate
• $140-170 average in tips received biweekly
• Paid biweekly by direct deposit
• Paid sick days

Schedule requirements:

• 33-35 hours weekly
• 4 days per week

Language requirements:

• English
• Vietnamese helpful

Experience:

• 2+ years of previous experience in a similar role in a high-volume upscale casual or fine-dining restaurant
• Working knowledge of fry, grill, and sauté stations
• Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
• Knife handling skills
• Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
• Familiar with operating and maintaining kitchen equipment (ensuring it’s kept clean and in excellent working condition)
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods
