Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The primary purpose of the Writing Skills Development Program (Stephen R. Hooper, PhD.

PI; Lara Jeane Costa, PhD.

PI) is to establish a stronger scientific foundation for educational practice in writing.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the position is to assist with fidelity observations, data collection, data management, and records administration on the UNC Systematic Replication project (Stephen R. Hooper, PhD.

PI).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Effective verbal and written communication skills required to accomplish tasks associated with this position.

Excellent interpersonal skills with professionals and research team members.

Must have the ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Experience with teacher professional development.

Experience with teaching or working in public schools.

Previous research experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications Special Physical/Mental Requirements

Position will require some moving and carrying of materials to and from the centers.
