Immediate need for a SMT Operator / Machine Programmer. This is a direct-hire permanent opportunity for someone who is looking for a successful, stable and rewarding career in PC Board manufacturing! This position will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and programming production equipment used to create PC boards with Surface Mount Technology.

SMT Operators / Machine Programmers will assist with the operation, setup, programming and maintenance of SMT assembly equipment and solder application equipment.

Benefits of the SMT Operator / Machine Programmer position include:

  • Starting Wage: $18.00 - $26.00 an hour DOE
  • Schedule: Monday Friday day shift. Start time and schedule is very flexible as long as you are working a 40-hour work week.

SMT Operator / Machine Programmer responsibilities include:

  • Perform inspection of PC boards
  • Set-Up, Operate, Program and Adjust SMT assembly equipment
  • Loads SMT pick-and-place machine with components as outlined by the documents provided.
  • Calibrates and aligns component pick-up locations.
  • Perform product/equipment changeover as necessary
  • Clean boards in flow solder room using board washing machine.
  • Complete daily logs
  • General maintenance and cleaning of machinery

SMT Operator / Machine Programmer requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of circuit board assembly, SMT machine programming and component identification preferred
  • Fundamental mechanical & electrical knowledge is required
  • Soldering experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and work instructions
  • Computer skills are needed
  • Follow all SMT machine requirements and guidelines
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Description POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for performing operations related to the manufacturing and/or packaging of drug products through equipment set-up, operation, clean-up and maintenance in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. Hours: Monday-Wed 6p-6:30a and every other Thursday. ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments. * Responsible for learning the manufacturing and/or packaging process as assigned by following approved batch records (BR), work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOP), etc. * Responsible for set up, changeover, programming and operation of various equipment manufacturing and/or packaging equipment including, but not limited to, mixers, granulators, dryers, mills, tablet compression, holder assemblers, blister formers and sealers, packagers and labelers. * Responsible for cleaning of facilities, equipment and utensils as required following SOP's and WI's. * Responsible for completing documentation as required in the manufacturing and/or packaging of product. * Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments. * Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Batch Record instructions. * Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. Education/Certification/Experience: * Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. * Prefer previous experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food processing industries. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: * Basic computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office products (additional experience with systems such as LMS, ERP, etc. preferred). * Ability to receive instruction and follow directions. * Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management. * Ability to communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills. * Ability to follow company policies and procedures. * Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements. * Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment. * Detail oriented with ability to identify errors and/or inconsistencies while performing tasks.
