Job Description

  • Responsible for the overall global performance of a product portfolio. Primary responsibilities include new product launches, product development initiatives, product roadmaps, voice-of-customer, customer requirement specifications, marketing initiatives, and direct engagement with customers. Globally coordinates programs for downstream / regional marketing through a global team of marketers and sales professionals.Collaborates with R&D teams and marketing managers to translate customer requirements into meaningful product features and negotiate trade-offs necessary to meet technical requirements. Completes functional phase review deliverables. Monitors and manages business performance for product(s) including global revenue and margin analysis, market trends and drivers, and global forecasting for new products. Responsible for lifecycle management including market concept, product launch readiness, product stability and end of life.

  • This role will work closely with a cross functional team across engineering, sales, finance, and quality to manage both short-term actions and long-term strategy.

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap strategy including identification of new products, product enhancements, and end-of-life actions.

  • Lead market intelligence through market surveillance, competitive analysis, industry reports to inform the product strategy, and inform marketing and sales initiatives.

  • Define global customer needs and feature requirements for future products and assist in the development of long-range product plans. Marketing lead for new product launch which includes: launch strategy development, market development programs, product claims and positioning.

  • Develop, maintain and grow relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders

  • Identify cost reduction initiatives and SKU management for product(s) and product stewardship

  • Identify, evaluate and recommend market opportunities for future product(s) in the portfolio.

The Individual

  • University Degree (BA degree) required

  • 6-9 years of experience or MBA plus 4-7 years of experience

  • Works independently and successfully with global cross-functional team.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in applying established standards, through knowledge base acquired from several years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficient in writing business plans, tracking results and developing accurate global forecasting

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Requires excellent planning and decision making.

  • Proficiency in weighing options and choosing appropriate course of action, with input from Product Managers, Directors and or VPs

  • Ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors.

In this role you will collaborate with sales, marketing, support, professional services, UI/UX designers, and engineering to support the full product lifecycle.
