The SME Software Integration Engineer is responsible for informing product decisions using an understanding of data pipeline techniques and issues. Including Application Programming Interface (API) access and integration; pre-processing; cloud security, process, and schema optimization; and pros and cons of programming languages and associated packages.REQUIREMENTS:

Directs and encourages the Engineering Team toward prompt delivery of best-in-class technical solutions.
Leverages or builds cloud-based architectures, technologies, and/or platforms to deliver optimized solutions at scale.
Communicates with the Technical Project Manager(s) to interpret customer requirements and assign engineering tasks accordingly.
Collaborates with the Technical Project Manager(s) and team members to architect solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Designs and develops cloud-based software solutions designed to ingest and process data from various sources.
Contributes to solutions that provide predictive models with raw data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
May supervise others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum experience required: 12 years.
May be substituted for a: HighSchool degree and 16 years of experience OR an Associates and 14 years of experience.
A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

Required:

Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Desired:

4 years of experience in DoD systems development.
