Job Description

NAOVI is seeking a SME Database Administrator (SME DBA) The candidate shall support any bug fixes, updated functionality, added data, and other changes to sustain business processes for the current applications. The business applications in DAMIS are as follows:

• Dashboard application.

• DAMIS application.

• Risk Reduction application.

• Unit Risk Inventories application.

• Unit Prevention Leader Certification and Training.

• USPS label application.

• Data Services application.

• Behavioral Health Pulse application.

• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) survey application.

• Army Suicide Prevention Program (ASPP) database.

• Bugzilla reporting tool.

• Drug Testing Coordinator Certification exams.

• Army Resilience website within DAMIS Cloud Boundary only.

Primary responsibilities:

• The SME Database Administrator (DBA) is designated by the Government as a key person.

• The SME DBA must have a BS degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.

• The SME DBA must have at least 5 years as a lead Oracle DBA, at least 5 years of production Oracle DBA support, and at least 3 years managing an Oracle database in Microsoft Azure Cloud in an Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) environment.

• The SME DBA needs to have a strong understanding of Oracle 19c, be proficient with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL statement tunning, solid understanding of Linux and RedHat, monitoring, maintaining, patching and tuning a production database environment, strong in advanced data replication, data backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, database performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, and management, strong oral/written communication, customer interface skills, and familiarity with DoD security standards and implementation guidelines (STIGs).

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors degree (REQUIRED)

Certification Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain current Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II professional certification during the execution of this contract. IAW DODD 8570.
