The Not For Profit Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of professionals including relationship managers, credit analysts and support staff to execute against our strategy and drive revenue growth for deposits, loans and fee income. The Team leader strategically develops/executes business plans that are consistent with the financial and market development goals of Webster. In this position, the Team lead is required to demonstrate strong business acumen and leadership experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings. Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of not-for-profit organizations (healthcare, higher education, member organizations, etc..) and anticipate industry trends. As a trusted advisor, the NFP lead, will use their experience as well as areas of expertise that include extensive industry knowledge, to provide consultative advice on products and services to meet client needs and enhance banking relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/maintain extensive network of business contacts, community leaders, executive management clients, prospect opportunities and referral sources, in order to generate revenue.

  • Grow and retain relationships with targeted client group by coordinating all aspects of the client relationship; ensure appropriate resources are dedicated to facilitate successful outcome; responsible for relationship review and overall relationship profitability.

  • Oversee all sales and service activities of the Relationship Manager, Client Associate and Share Service Team (HUB) to ensure that current and potential clients receive the best possible service.

  • Identify, recruit, and retain top talent onto team; develop appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength

  • Provide employees with timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback; ensure professional development of team; provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth recognize and reward employees for accomplishments.

  • Create high performance culture which demands accountability for superior results that will be beneficial to our clients as well as foster employee engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Educations, Skills & Experience:

  • For this position, you must have 10 - 15 years of broad based commercial lending/corporate finance/relationship management experience.

  • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration.

  • Demonstrates management capability of an extensive portfolio of Education and/or NFP clients with revenues greater than $20 MM.

  • Ability to build and expand trusting relationships and partnerships.

  • Knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques and accounting.

  • In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, procedures and techniques and well demonstrated understanding of loan risk factors.

  • Exceptional leadership skills; contributes to and drives business strategy through team motivation and effectively empowering employees.

The estimated salary range for this position is $240,000 to $260,000. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
