The Chief Engineer at Los Angeles AFB, CA supporting the US Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate (SMC/ECL) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) contract focuses on enterprise integration across various engineering disciplines: electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical, etc. Defines problems, conducts research, analyzes criteria related to various engineering fields, and addresses/resolves problems.

Experience leading and managing the SE&I systems engineering and integration efforts across the enterprise focusing on a digital engineering environment and model-based systems engineering; including but not limited to creation and maintenance of ECL program documentation, Oversight of all activities in PWS sections 3.3.1. Systems Engineering, 3.3.2 Integration, 3.3.3 ELSS, 3.3.7 Safety, 3.3.8 Environmental, 3.3.9 Security and Cyber, 3.3.12 Risk Management, and 3.3.11 Launch Schedule Management, Mission Director training, lessons learned database, trade studies, etc. Experience performing enterprise level systems engineering and integration across SMC/ECL, integrating Systems Engineering disciplines for SMC/ECL including interests within launch site interfaces and Range interfaces, and interfacing with the SMC/ECL Government Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer.

Qualified applicants must have a current/active Top Secret SCI with a current background investigation within five (5) years and consent to a polygraph examination. * Job Responsibilities:* * Performs Systems Engineering activities related to developing and deploying a system architecture. * Performs assessment of development contractor design, provides oversight to development contractor development efforts, manages development operations (DevOps) capabilities, performs requirements decomposition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). * Provide technical and acquisition support to Government and contractor milestone reviews to assess progress, issues, and meeting mission requirements traceability. * Ensure program level documentation is aligned with Directorate and higher headquarters guidance for program planning and execution. * Develops and evaluates program level documentation for SMC/SY assigned programs in support of Directorate leadership.
