Senior Supply Planner: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

As the Senior Supply Planner, you will be responsible for procuring supply to meet service and inventory objectives. You will work to ensure on time deliveries from vendors and to customers. Key partners will include Vendors, Sourcing, Logistics, Demand Planning, Distribution and Customer Service. Additionally, you will understand capacity constraints and work to resolve issues proactively.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Recommend and execute product purchases based upon demand inputs and other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels, vendor capacity, minimums, and buy readiness). Work with Global Sourcing Analyst(s) to issue purchase requisitions and coordinate purchase order creation with sourcing offices. Assist in building the seasonal production plan for responsible categories through partnership with internal teams and global sourcing offices. Interface with vendors on capacity and production plans to ensure timely delivery of supply. Develop build ahead strategy thorough partnership with Sourcing Manager to utilize downtime at vendors in order to alleviate peak season pressure, increasing on time performance. Provide leadership within the department to other planners as well as those outside the direct group making suggestions for and implementing process improvements as needed. Coordinate with regional brand teams (Europe/Canada) for global buy recommendations and PR placement, taking into consideration capacity and order minimum balancing. Lead the decision making of allocations globally considering brand strategy. Collaborate with Demand Planning when capacity is constrained to forecast/prioritize demand based on supply availability. Lead key projects to evolve supply chain capabilities through the leveraging of Global Supply Chain Sourcing Offices. Participate in longer term view of supply availability taking into consideration demand needs by product type and any potential capacity or material constraints. Track conversion of purchase requisitions to vendor purchase orders. Continually monitor demand needs and supply timing to identify issues and opportunities. Adjust supply timing as needed to improve service to customers and / or meet inventory objectives. Manage seasonal initial system set up and line plan validation within Supply Planning team. Closely partner with cross functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of current month financial objectives. Support Supply Planning Manager in preparation for S&OP Supply Review meeting. Highlight issues and opportunities to drive improved supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field

• Equivalent years of experience in a similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree to be determined by the nature of the specific job and the hiring manager's criteria

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ability to drive decision making within a team

• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, proven ability to multi-task effectively

• Perform work independently on a large volume of simultaneous projects

• Work well in a team environment providing leadership guidance

• Desire to gain management and coaching experience

• Motivation, flexibility, and detail orientation are required to meet the demands of a fast-paced and passionate working environment

Skills for Success:

• Ability to understand, assess, & problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills

• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints

• Proven ability to multi-task effectively

• Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macro's)

• Understanding of reporting tools (S4HANA /Brio)

• Experience in project planning and implementation

• Self-starter with excellent follow through

• Excellent attention to detail

• SAP System experience a plus

• Travel by air and overnight, as required 5% or less amount of time.

• Lifting and/or bending, lifting 10 lbs. of weight.

Salary Range:

$73,440.00 USD - $110,160.00 USD annually
