The Applied Innovation team's mission is to incubate and develop highly innovative business and partner opportunities for Microsoft and Microsoft Enterprise Services in key markets. We are accountable for understanding technology and industry trends and how they translate into long term Microsoft business opportunities (consulting, cloud usage, product adoption). We accomplish our mission through strategic incubation projects, developing new partner engagement models, securing executive sales and field support, and showing what is possible.

The Applied Innovation team is looking for an experienced Digital Advisor who is interested in applying their skills in the context of a smart campus

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years of professional experience in a technical environment.
    3+ Years of Digital Transformation experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The desired qualifications of the Digital Advisor are follows:

  • Broad understanding of the technology industry, including current and emerging Digital Solutions, and experience managing technology-enabled business change within one or more vertical industries (experience in Smart Buildings Highly Preferred)

  • Executive presence, including ability to hold CXO level discussions, and executive-level, exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Should have participated or been involved in at least 1 Smart Building or Campus engagement.

  • Experience in participating & contributing in Smart Building or Campus Digital Transformation programs across multiple geographies (including emerging markets).

  • Experience in structuring & building Smart Building or Campus business cases and financial models.

  • Financial Analysis, KPI Setting, Goal Translation & ability to define a plane to capture benefits & outcomes

  • Experience in working with Partners to define joint Go-To-Market (GTM) models which comprise of service pricing, revenue growth & impacts focusing on Smart Buildings

  • Ability to drive Smart Building & Campus Digital Transformation Workshop and author Smart Building Strategy Reports targeted at C-Level stake holders

  • Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers

  • Passion for technology, business, market trends and, specifically, the Customer

  • Experience implementing key Microsoft, or related technologies, with a preference for depth in Cloud and IoT

  • Ability to become an advocate for Microsoft's vision and value proposition, and diverse offerings, by conceptualizing, planning and leading implementation/adoption of Microsoft technologies

The Applied Innovation team is looking for an experienced Solution Architect that can help build end to end solutions for our customers. You build your trusted advisor relationship with your customers on the whole lifecycle of their digital transformation programs, from initial business needs understanding to final delivery of the solution. The Applied Innovation team is part of Microsoft Digital responsible for architecting the most innovative and complex solutions using existing and emerging technologies to enable a customer's digital transformation strategy. Required Qualifications: * 8+ Years of professional experience in a technical environment. * 3+ Years of Cloud and IoT experience. Preferred Qualifications: You need to be a leader in demonstrating architecture, planning, deploying solutions including the following: * Demonstrated excellence with consulting skills and presenting complex topics to both business executive and technical personnel * Demonstrable capabilities in articulating the customer business value that can be achieved through technology * Proven experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and manage risk. * Consistent record of building deep relationships with senior executives and helping to build innovative cloud solutions in large or highly strategic accounts * Consistent track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with extraordinary verbal and written communication * Demonstrated excellence when facilitating customer design and awareness sessions that are focused on complex application solution architectures. * An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers. * Architectural understanding of and implementation experience across one or more of Microsoft Azure, IoT, IoT Edge, Office365 and Dynamics or other industry leading PaaS, SaaS and IaaS platforms. * Ability to move between high level architectural review/design and the "hands on" level of actually doing all phases of a delivery project. * Resourceful, confident under pressure, and demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management. You may come from an enterprise customer, partner, system integrators, and may have played the following types of roles in these organizations: Senior Architect, Chief Architect, Principal Architect or CTO. Above all, you have been working on transforming your own or your customers' business through technology. We expect you to have a BS/BA degree and/or 10+ years of relevant work experience.
