Summary: This position is responsible for growing and maintaining the Small Business Balance Loans (SBBL) & Small Business Administration (SBA) loans and related deposit production in their assigned geographic market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop an effective calling program with both internal and external sources to build and maintain small business loans (SBBL & SBA products) and related deposit relationships.This includes establishing routines for prospecting, marketing events, and follow up with existing customers
Perform the necessary due diligence (loan structure, analysis of the business, industry and cash flow) as required on business loan for both new and renewal requests
Partner with other internal departments to ensure timely management and review (new and existing borrowers/customers) of loan documentation and financial responsibilities to ensure accuracy in risk ratings and preservation of government guarantees
Participate in the training/cross training of Bank associates as directed
Contribute to the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) portfolio

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or comparable experience required
Minimum of7 to 10 years of related experience required
Knowledge of commercial and consumer loan documentation, to include loans secured by real property, UCC filings, titled vehicles & equipment, pledged assets, and contracts.
Working knowledge of with business entity documentation and tax returns (sole prop., partnerships, trusts, corporations and LLC)
Strong business development and lead generation skill with experience in commercial lending and & deposits
Consultative relationship building skills (listening, questioning, negotiating, closing and networking) to provide a knowledgeable banker and trusted advisor experience for a small business client
Must be able to prioritize, organize and produce in a high-volume, deadline driven production work group
Good skills and experience in business loan structuring, underwriting and documentation
Detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Windows applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
