The Small Business Sales Specialist (SBSS) is responsible for promoting and driving sales to local small businesses and fleet customers through Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram dealerships with the primary focus on commercial vehicles/products. This position will cover Northern California and travel will be required up to 50% of the time. The qualified candidate will home office close to one of the centrally located metro markets (Sacramento or the Bay Area). The SBSS will obtain dealership advertising and market commitments, as well as manage commercial advertising co-op with the cooperation of the Regional Sales Manager. The SBSS will also prepare and present reports/metrics for dealers and the dealerships' key managers, which show commercial sales, profit and opportunities. This candidate will also be responsible for securing dealership commitments to invest in people, process and training in all departments, accompany dealer sales personnel on outside sales calls to local small businesses, manage operational dealer and business center contacts for issues related to commercial vehicles sales. This candidate will also manage and provide consultation on the dealership's inventory, insure availability for the right commercial product to the right local users and serve as the primary local contact for commercial pools. They will incorporate pools into commercial sales processes, including facilitating dealer relationships, developing stocking and consignment programs, and enhancing visibility of appropriate work up-fit vehicles for specific market. The candidate will work with dealers at grass root trade shows, establish local truck clubs and hold quarterly meetings within region of responsibility, ensure commercial sales are reported correctly by performing audits and correcting where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business to business sales

  • Experience working in the automotive or fleet environment

  • Excel in building positive working relationships

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision

  • Willing and able to travel up to 65% of the time

  • Willing and able to relocate to/have a centralized home office in the Sacramento / Bay Area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Commercial vehicle product knowledge

  • Experience/relationship/understanding of bailment pool and truck upfit environment

  • OEM field experience or experience calling on franchised automotive dealerships

This position will leverage the power of our company to provide comprehensive financial solutions to our customers. The SBB is responsible for growing the profitability of the small business customer base and will lead with a primary deposit relationship. The SBB is accountable for prospecting and acquiring new priority small businesses, as well as retaining and deepening existing relationships. A significant portion of the SBB's time will be dedicated towards new acquisition activities and the SBB will spend 50% - 80% of their time outside of the financial center. The SBB analyzes the client's financial condition and recommends financial solutions to best meet the client's business and personal needs. The SBB must have the ability to build new relationships and maintain strong relationships with small business owners.
