Job Description:

Responsible for the product management of Bank of America's Small Business Administration program. Specifically this would include product management over the bank's SBA Express program, SBA 7A program, and SBA 504 program. Product Manager will be expected to partner closely with Head of SBA and Head of SB Credit Administration on the one-team approach to delivering for BAC clients.

Role responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining product/program positioning, developing and maintaining sales acquisition strategies, developing and maintaining portfolio management strategies, developing and maintaining retention strategies.

  • Ensuring achievement of SBA balance growth objectives and portfolio credit/asset quality objectives.

  • Devising and implementing improvements/action plans to the client's experience with the SBA products, including being accountable for product/program complaint reviews.

  • Identifying responsible growth initiatives and being accountable for building the case for change as well as leading the design and deployment/implementation of the initiative into production.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of financial industry experience

  • 5+ years of experience with small business banking (credit sales, credit underwriting, credit risk management, credit policy development and administration, etc.)

  • Demonstrated product management experience

  • Strong program/project management experience

  • Strong analytical skills including P&L management and business case development

  • Ability to identify, develop and build strategic growth initiatives

  • Ability to influence with impact

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to be an individual contributor that is highly self-motivated but have the skills to effectively lead small scale teams to drive out improvement efforts

Preferred Skills:

  • BAC small business lending experience

  • Experience with SBA programs/products

  • Experience with credit risk management

  • Developing and implementing a strategic direction

  • Takes decisive action when issues appear and understands responsibilities for issue resolution

  • Ability to influence outcomes with LOB stakeholders and to navigate through organizational complexity

  • MBA
