Job Description:

At Regions, the Small Business Administration Product Specialist will facilitate SBA transactions on behalf of Relationship Managers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Educate associates on the benefits of SBA lending

  • Work external referral sources for new business

  • Developing and managing SBA programs as well as creating strategies to originate SBA loans in the marketplace

  • Daily activities would involve developing referral sources to solicit SBA loan opportunities

  • Presenting the company's loan capabilities and structuring SBA loan proposals

  • Must have a thorough understanding of SBA policies and structure, product knowledge, and financial analysis

This position is incentive eligible.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Prior involvement in generating SBA loans or like experience

Once new business relationships have been identified and established by the RBDO, the RM solicits new business from established sources, designs and implements appropriate sales programs for the customer, collects and prepares the financial package for submission to underwriting for approval and closes the loans. This position will also assist in driving initiatives around delivering the Enterprise through a programmatic approach to the business owners. The RM should possess prospecting skills and a winning telephonic personality because duties are performed primarily by phone. In addition, this role will require some travel and strong presentation/communication skills to present the value propositions of the developed programs. The Small Business Client Manager (SBCM) is the "quarterback" of the client team. This involves coordinating client involvement by the team's specialists in credit, treasury, merchant and personal products. To effectively perform this role, the SBCM must be well versed in all Bank of America products and services for proper identification of cross-selling opportunities. This role does not require local market prospecting but does require a winning telephonic personality because duties are performed from the specified Small Business Client Management site. Enterprise Role Overview: The CDG Client Manager is a member of a telephone-based relationship management team that is responsible for retaining a business banking portfolio, expanding relationships and generating additional revenue from existing clients. The role is responsible for managing a client portfolio comprised of treasury management and/or credit clients to ensure sales, revenue, and retention goals are met. The CDG CM will have the ability to forge relationships with the appropriate decision makers within the client company. Additionally, the CDG Client Manager analyzes the client's financial and operating strategies and recommends alternative or additional financial services to best beet the client's immediate and longer-term personal and business needs.
