Role Summary/Purpose:

Slurry Coating Technician will utilize expertise in Spray Applied Paint Processes to support application development of manual and automated processes to coat aerospace and industrial components.

In addition you will:

  • Maintain a safe work environment; including the use of chrome VI containing materials.

  • Acquire techniques to manually spray SermeTel type coatings.

  • Support automation of manual coating processes

  • Promote customer satisfaction and help exceed customer expectations

  • Responsible for safety and participate in quality, lean and team development

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 2 years of college and/or special training, MET or similar.

  • Manual spray applied paint experience.

Additional Eligibility

Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the United States. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and health screen.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with CAD.

  • Experience with industrial robots.

  • Knowledge of safe work practices

  • Experience with interpretation of engineering specifications and drawings

  • Organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Oral and written communication skills including proficiency in MS Office software

  • Ability to self-manage (set and achieve goals)

  • Experience with blue light scanning for dimensional analysis
