As a Slotting/CapacityPlanning Analyst, you will have an exceptional opportunity to leverage youranalytical mindset, effective communication skills and project managementexpertise to challenge status quo and enable operational excellence at the

Shelby Distribution Center within the Memphis DC Network.

You will:

  • Guarantee operationalexcellence in day-to-day reporting activities; executing all necessary stepsneeded to produce reports; ensure Data integrity (validate information),timeliness of reports (committing to deadlines), clarity & presentation ofreports, accessibility & user friendliness.

  • Define, track andcommunicate building-wide and departmental KPIs across the distribution center;identify opportunities and provide recommendations for process improvement

  • Drive creation ofinteractive and user-friendly analytical tools that enable fact-baseddecision-making process and executive storytelling

  • Drive adoption of thesetools by conducting user training sessions, communicating effectively withvarious stakeholders and influencing without authority

  • Develop and deliverhigh-impact presentations to communicate strategic plans, roadmaps andinitiative status updates to the broader organization. Manage a wide range ofquantitative and qualitative inputs, simplify your message and influencevarious stakeholders

Core Accountabilities:

  • Solve problems andprovide solutions. Respond to requests from internal/external customers.Investigate these requests and partner on a solution enabling operationalexcellence for Shelby. Collaborate and share best practices across Memphisnetwork.

  • Build knowledge and be aresident expert on the end-to-end Operational Process at Shelby. Challengestatus quo, identify process improvement opportunities and effectivelytranslate operational needs into business requirements for new tools.

  • Effectively manageprojects to completion. Identify and proactively manage stakeholders thathave influence and/or are impacted by your projects. Effectively manage projecttimelines and scope; communicate proactively and strategically.

Scheduled shift: Monday

  • Friday, 8 a.m.

  • 5 p.m.


  • Bachelor's degree inBusiness, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or related field or relativeexperience

  • 3+ years of experienceworking in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or Finance field

  • Demonstrated ability tocomplete quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Strong projectmanagement, problem structuring, and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Exceptionalinterpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability towork cross-functionally

  • Great listening skillsand openness to different points of view

  • Strong presentation,influencing skills and the ability to interact with senior leadership

  • Self-starter, eager tolearn, result-oriented and creative strategic thinker

  • Advanced skills in SQL,MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in dashboarddevelopment using data visualization tools such as Tableau. Ability and desireto learn quickly

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-05T00:00 MISSION / SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Sales & Operations Planning, Americas Foodservice, the Capacity Planning/Optimization Analyst works closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to lead efforts related to the optimization of existing capacity, capacity expansion, and freight (primarily between facilities freight). This position will also assist the manufacturing sites with outside purchases and fiber supply as required. They understand and align business operations, demand planning and Customer Service as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. * Determining capacity expansion needs * Developing and tracking capacity expansion proposals * Evaluating potential capacity planning tools * Coordinate fiber supply and outside purchase needs as required * Fiber Supply reporting * OTIFNE reporting * Be the reporting expert for the team * Other duties as assigned. DELIVERABLES: * Weekly capacity expansion report * Innovative ideas to enhance our capacity planning tools and processes * Monthly fiber balance report to reconcile board receipts, consumption and inventory * Monthly OTIFNE report * Weekly progress report for other projects assigned * Capacity presentations to business leaders as required * Provide input for the monthly S&OP reporting deck BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE: * 2 years of related experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning and/or Supply Chain Management * Proven track record of success in a similar role * Knowledge and/or experience in material control, purchasing, distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations and transportation or logistics desired EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: * A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required, a degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics or Operations is preferred * Familiarity with production principles in a multi-site manufacturing organization SKILLS: * Strong analytical skills are required, specifically within MS Excel to include v-look ups, pivot tables, and graphing * Ability to apply analytic techniques to interpret data, identify issues, analyze causes, and provide well-reasoned conclusions and solutions. * Understanding of performance trade-offs across supply chain to support decisions on the best use of limited resources. * Ability to build strong relationships, considering diverse perspectives & different styles. * Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and with minimal supervision. * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all business function areas is required including proficiency preparing and delivering presentations * Preferred skills: In depth knowledge of MRP. Expertise in SQL and/or Visual Basic. Experience and/or certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodology. APICS CPIM certification SCHEDULE DEMANDS: * General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. * Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours. * Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs. * Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. * Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
