General Summary of Job Duties
The Journeyman Slot Tech has four primary functions. Machine conversions of existing product on the floor, installing new machines and moving existing machines. They are responsible for the maintenance of all machines. They must have knowledge of all manufactures' games.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.
Repairs, maintains and improves the slot machines and department coin operated equipment to ensure compliance with the state gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.
Keeps track of all slot machine, drop door and validation machine repairs on a daily basis.
Logs all repairs in the maintenance record.
Removes slot machines from the floor, installs new machines and relocates on floor machines as the need arises.
Repairs and maintains slot drop cabinets, stools, seats and armrests.
Coordinates with other departments on matters related to the slot operation.
Cleans decks of slot machines, reels and glass inside the slots.
Repairs locks, coin acceptors, hoppers, reel mechanisms and all related mechanical parts of the slot machine.
Assists in the hard and soft meter reading of the slot machines.
Maintains general cleanliness in the tech shop.
Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.
Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements
Minimum of two (2) years related experience in slot machine repair
Understanding of progressive controllers and progressive signage.
