What would I be doing?

Develop relationships with our guests and providing quality service is the prime directive of this position. Follow company policy relative to the slot operation. Maintain a high-degree of professionalism when dealing with internal and external guests. Assure slot machines are operating properly. Responsible for the completion of service events (paper jams, fills, change lights) on slot machines within the timeliness goal established within the department. Pay out taxable jackpots of over $1200 up to $5000.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to guest service requirement listed above. Strive to achieve a minimum of 9.0 in Friendliness on JD Power scores. Assist with the goal of a 9.0 in Accuracy of Bill Validators.

  • Adhere to established departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and timeliness standards established by the property/department.

  • Assist in the training of department personnel.

  • Responsible for meeting guest's needs or getting them in contact with the appropriate personnel for beverage service, snacks, request for comps, or capping machines.

  • Adhere to slot department policies and procedures.

  • Be responsible for the proper taxation on slot jackpots and collecting proper forms of identification from the guests.

  • Safeguard company assets.

  • Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.

  • This is a uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty

  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and propriatary information disclosed by an Ameristar entity or by a guest of Ameristar Casinos

  • Foster and maintain positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.

  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.

  • Attend all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.

  • Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance.

  • Assure the proper functioning of slot machines.

  • May sell or make change for guests.

  • Be familiar with the safe handling of cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong problem solving skills and guest service skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Cash handling experience preferred.

  • Team and guest service oriented.

  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with team member relations issues.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organizations.

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Previous experience in the slot department or casino industry.

JOB SUMMARY Directly responsible for managing Slot Performance property support activities for the Iowa properties to include the planning, procurement, installation, implementation, on-going support and administration of all slot systems located at the property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinates all casino and machine moves and installations. * Responsible for the repair, modifications and preventative maintenance on slot machines and A/V equipment. * Responsible for ordering of slot machine products, parts, etc. * Assists with investigating all cheating attempts, percentage malfunctions and sub-standard equipment within the slot performance department. * Drives improved results through staff development and training programs, and established methods, procedures and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high quality service, then monitors results through inspection, evaluation and analysis. * Works with Director to make changes if necessary to achieve end result. * Management accountability for all team members for day to day and long term operations to include hiring, training and developing employees which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation. * Responsible for staffing and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business demands and ensure customer satisfaction. * Uses employee data and feedback such as EOS/SFS, turnover results, to create a positive working environment and support employee engagement. * Works collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and achieve effective day to day operations. * Maintains compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements. * Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operations. Maintains strong cross departmental communications. * Models regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures * Performs duties of a Slot Performance Manager as necessary. * Presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same. * Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
