Position Summary

IGT is interviewing for our next customer-service oriented superstar! If you are someone who enjoys being face-to-face with all types of people, assisting them with their questions, as they travel to and from, and feel comfortable handling money - please keep reading. IGT has a fulltime position stationed at the Reno-Tahoe Airport attending to our three different gaming areas. We hope you like being active because IGT's slot machines, which you will attend to, are dotted throughout the airport. We are looking for those who can work a varied 8-hour shifts between 4:00am-10:30pm and open to making $12/hr or $12.60/hr when working the swing shift. More if you are experienced on the casino floor! This position receives full IGT benefits. There is opportunity for gratuities and growth with the company. What a day-in-the-life of a Slot Attendant, or what we like to call a Customer Service Floor Rep, looks like:

  • Handles a good amount of money and traveler's checks, as it relates to slot game play, so you will act as a banker/cashier

  • You will need to verify and pay Jackpots to customers, so you must be detailed oriented and accurate

  • Assist with the three different gaming areas throughout the Reno Tahoe Airport.

  • Interact with players and travelers doing your best with their questions to point them in the right location

  • With your excellent customer service skills help resolve minor customer concerns/disputes

  • You will validate/redeem machine tickets

  • You will need to load voucher paper/slot tickets into machines to make sure it is always ready for game play

  • You will need to do minor maintenance on slot machines as required such as replacing light bulbs, clearing bill validators and clearing printer jams

  • Take pride in your work and make sure you maintain and clean your sections throughout your shift

  • Be flexible to take on other duties assigned to you from your manager

  • You need to have the ability to learn and understand the basics of a pay table


  • A High School Diploma or GED is required

  • 1+ years' experience in customer service

  • Position requires walking and standing for long periods of time

  • Ability, flexibility, and willingness to work varied shifts including overtime

  • Must have the ability to maintain a neat appearance being customer facing

  • Able to stand an eight hour shift (5- 8 hours shifts in a week)

  • Able to work overtime when needed

  • Available to work on weekends

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Able to obtain a Gaming License

  • Pass a background check

Ensure adherence to all Gaming Board regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Believe and demonstrate the GSR Vision and Mission Statement. * Ability to operate personal computer (to access & input information using Excel, Word, Windows, AutoCad, SDS and CMS) to perform job functions and assist guests. * Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Troubleshoot guest's concerns, answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc. * Provide staff with clear procedures for all regular slot maintenance, moves, installs and removals. * Maintain compliance with Gaming Board regulations. Supervise slot technician performance and adherence to policies and procedures. * Make recommendations to Slot Director for the hiring, corrective action and termination of Slot Technicians. * Train and monitor employees' performance to ensure all policies and procedures are understood and followed. * Complete job related paperwork, employee reviews and departmental communications, as well as any other necessary administrative duties. * Monitor staff behavior, direct breaks and direct job functions to ensure proper customer service is provided. Direct staff in proper job functions and proper guest interaction. * Make constant contact with both internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service. This includes contact with various casino and hotel departments in an effort to provide/obtain pertinent information needed to ensure proper guest service is provided. * Drive or otherwise operate company vehicles to move machines and pick-up machine parts used for slot machine repair. * Bend, stoop, reach, kneel, walk/stand for duration of shift, walking 2-4 miles during an 8-hour shift. * Lift,( to a height of from 3 to 6 feet) grasp, or otherwise carry items and material weighing up to 100 lbs, or more. * Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the Hotel. * Comply with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Hotel facilities.
