Sleep Technician - FT 8:30Pm - 6:00Am - Sleep Medicine/Pulmonary

Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH is seeking a Sleep Technician to work Fri/Sat/Sun 8:00pm - 6:00am. This position is full-time and offers employee benefits.

A-STEP candidates will be considered.

General Summary:

Manually analyzes testing as directed.

Works under the supervision of the attending physician and Office Manager.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide patient education regarding the sleep test.

• Select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing.

• Apply electrodes and sensors according to standards.

• Perform routine PAP fitting and desensitization.

• Analyzes sleep testing data accurately and in a timely fashion as directed by the Office Physician.

• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

• Previous experience in a sleep lab.

• Adheres to CLIA and OSHA regulations.

• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

• Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) within 6 month of starting the job.

• A-STEP candidate acceptable.

• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures

• Experience scoring sleep studies.
