Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sleep Lab and related services. Physically supervise Sleep Lab operations across its various shifts. Responsible for operational success and assist in defining strategy/direction in accordance with national standards and CNHS policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with the Medical Director of the Sleep Program and upper management to ensure quality clinical outcomes and service excellence in complaince with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accreditation standards and to facilitate sleep research. Serve as administrator of diagnostic sleep technology system. Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Respiratory Care, Business Administration, Hospital Administration or other related field. (Required)
Master's Degree Nursing, Respiratory Care, Business Administration, Hospital Administration or other related field. (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
5 years At least 5 years of progressive related experience, including 1 year of experience with pediatric patients and families, and 1 year supervisory or 2 years administrative or team lead experience in related job function. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Expertise in the area of Joint Commission (JC) and other regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) Upon Hire (Required) And
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) (Preferred)

Strategic Planning
Contribute to the development of departmental strategic plans; support and communicate the strategic plan to all employees.
Collect and analyze customer feedback and evaluate service/department effectiveness.
Collect and analyze data to evaluate additional business opportunities.

Collaborate with upper management in the development, implementation and evaluation of current and future programs, services, policies, procedures, protocols and performance standards to achieve department and organizational goals.
Program and Service Management
Implement strategic plan through management of day-to-day lab operations.
Troubleshoot operational issues and develop targeted action plans for resolution.
Administer programs and services within budgetary guidelines; use budget tools to forecast and make decisions while analyzing and interpreting variances.
Accountable for staff planning; continuously monitor and adjust staff based on area needs. Use trended data (e.g., labor productivity data) to manage staff plans.
Ensure maintenance of national accreditation and regulatory requirements and uphold overall safety standards of the work area.
Implement Quality Assurance Program consistent with AASM standards, include inter-scorer reliability program and other performance improvement initiatives.
Technology Management
Responsible to implement and maintain sleep testing system and train all personnel; serve as technology system administrator.
Assure preventive maintenance and QA on all equipment as required.
Stay abreast of cutting edge diagnostic equipment and trends in the field of sleep medicine, especially specific to the pediatric population, and make appropriate recommendations.
Collaborate with upper management, Biomed and IT stakeholders to address the on-going technology needs of the department.
Education and Research
Perform educational needs assessment and facilitate learning opportunities for self and staff.
Participate in activities that educate the community about the field of polysomnography and the professional role of the technologist.
Act as liaison to the Clinical Research Center and coordinate approved research protocols that involve the use of polysomnography.
Represent the Sleep Lab at research-related committees and/or meetings.
