Lunar Permanence: This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As a Technical Project Manager on the Lunar Permanence Cross Program Integration team, your role will involve leading the integration, procurement, and delivery of hardware across program elements, defining receivables/deliverables for cross-program hardware, and creating technical and procurement content for Statements of Work (SOWs). You will closely collaborate with procurement, lead integration forums, track progress, and ensure top issues and risks are addressed and managed effectively. Your active involvement in decision-making, tracking metrics, and working with element IPTs will significantly contribute to the success of the Lunar Permanence business unit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead integration, procurement, and delivery of hardware from SLD to other elements or from other elements to Blue.

  • Define Receivables/Deliverables for cross program hardware within SLD, including common and to/from different elements.

  • Define technical and procurement content for SOWs.

  • Closely work with Procurement to track status and resolve issues.

  • Leads integration forums with element IPTs to update requirements and resolve technical issues.

  • Ensure progress is being made on all top issues, drive them to closure as soon as possible.

  • Ensure top issues are reflected on Program top issues, as needed.

  • Ensure hardware risks are included in program risks and being managed.

  • Create and elevate decisions to SLD board.

  • Track metrics for work being completed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or another technical field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in leading hardware integration, procurement, and delivery processes, preferably within the aerospace or space industry.

  • Ability to integrate and coordinate across business, partner and customer elements

  • Proficient in tracking and analyzing metrics for work completion, ensuring progress on deliverables, and providing comprehensive reporting for program oversight and decision-making.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with a track record of working closely with procurement teams to track status, resolve issues, and ensure seamless logistics for hardware delivery.

  • Experience leading small multi-disciplinary development teams on fast-paced projects

  • Experience in conducting integration forums with element Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to align requirements and address technical challenges.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Travel expected up to 25% of the time

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary development projects, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, and schedule, and cost.

  • Experience with the Blue Origin SLD Program, either MK1 or MK2.

  • Experience operating on an Agile team.

  • Experience with NASA design and certifications standards for human spaceflight.

  • Experience with NASA certification of flight readiness process for a new system.

  • Experience with NASA lunar, deep space, or planetary missions.

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $106,260-$148,764

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $115,920-$162,288

Compensation range for on site CA applicants is $115,920-$162,288
