As a EGSE Software Development Engineering supporting the Integration and Test team, you will be supporting our mission to return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.
Lunar Permanence is Blue Origin's team dedicated to developing mission architectures such as our Lunar Lander program, Blue Moon (Link: https://www.blueorigin.com/blue-moon ). Our Lunar Permanence team is developing our Lunar Pathfinder mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and advanced integrated power and propulsion architecture - on an early New Glenn flight.

Responsibilities:
Interpret Flight SW Requirements, features and functionality for SW Scripts and Graphical User Interfaces (GUI's) development
Support Flight and Ground Software Engineers to build/test EGSE and Integrated Ground System (IGS) Hardware, verifying firmware & SW design requirements
Write EGSE Rack Level Software & Firmware using drivers in C++ with application program interfaces
Develop serial communication software interfaces between EGSE RS-422, RS-485 hardware and vehicle flight avionics
Create Command Line Interpreters (CLI)
Troubleshoot issues and anomalies that arise during testing
Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks
Perform root cause, system hazard analysis and failure investigations
Find opportunities for safety improvements and cost savings
Develop, Test & Commission Software Scripts interfacing EGSE Hardware and IGS Software to run in conjunction with Vehicle I&T Procedures.
Collaborate with I&T Engineers, generating and maintaining test requirements and verification matrices
Support EGSE SW and IGS Script maintenance, upgrades, and functionality improvements
Participate in test readiness review, pre and post test briefings, and post test reviews.
Write & maintain SW documentation, and manage procedural redlines/updates during test campaigns
Qualifications

BS in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical discipline
C/C++ or Python Software Development in Windows and/or Linux
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) & Community Enterprise Operating System (CentOS) Linux
Qt Modeling Language, GitLab, Visual Studio Code, Rockwell Automation Studio 5000
5+ years of applicable experience
Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
Experience working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired
Experience with writing Software Requirements
Familiarity with Consultative Committee for Space Systems (CCSDS), File Delivery Protocol (CFDP), using Real Time Innovations (RTI) tools for Data Distribution Service (DDS) messaging
Experience with Serial Communication protocol (RS-422, RS-485
Experience developing software to establish Receive/Transmit (Rx/Tx) ports in Host machine
Experience with Software Performance Testing with a focus on Latency
Experience with Amazon web services (AWS)
Experience with complex electronics hardware and software systems
Prior experience as a Responsible Engineer for a subsystem or software capability
