You in The Role and on The Team
As a SLAM Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering and robotics team. Your role will involve working with LiDAR-based SLAM, evaluating and integrating various sensors, visualizing data for system improvements, and sensor fusion between LiDAR and computer vision systems. We are looking for someone with substantial real-world experience, not just academic knowledge. Your deep understanding of the software and mechanics of robotics-including drivers, cameras, LiDAR, sensors, autonomous vehicles, and mobile robots-will be crucial.
A Day in the Life
Design and Develop: Create, implement, and optimize SLAM algorithms for computer vision and robotics systems.
Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate SLAM technology into our products.
Sensor Integration: Utilize cameras, IMUs, GPS, and other sensors to generate 3D maps and trajectories.
Optimize SLAM Backends: Develop, test, and refine SLAM backends using G2O or GTSAM.
Documentation: Maintain code documentation, unit tests, and system test suites.
Innovate: Explore new vision-based sensors and technologies, designing custom architectures for vision-based autonomy.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sensor Fusion: Experience with techniques to enhance positioning accuracy using data from various sensors like IMUs, LiDAR, and cameras.
Cloud Pipelines: Experience developing scalable training pipelines in the cloud.
Passion: Enthusiasm for robotics and troubleshooting complex systems.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a relevant degree.
If you have a genuine passion for robotics and possess the real-life experience required to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply and become part of our innovative team.
