Are you ready to change lives, maybe even your own? Good Samaritan Society Echo Ridge is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the position of Universal Worker.

The position includes housekeeping responsibilities and assisting our Residents during the mid-day meal. This can be a physically demanding job, requiring frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and walking. Shift is 8 am to 4:30 pm (32 hours per week) and includes every other weekend and holiday.

You will help residents have a clean, orderly and safe experience at all times. You'll help with daily personal care needs of senior residents of all capabilities. You'll help maintain clean living and community spaces, and uphold resident privacy.

You will escort residents to meals, aid with snacks and help meet dietary needs. You'll assist in engaging residents in healthy and entertaining events. You may be called upon to document processes, and you'll follow all necessary federal guidelines. Some days residents just want a listening ear, and you'll be that, too.

The Plan of Care is based on the initial and comprehensive assessments of patient/caregiver. Care is provided according to the Plan of Care that includes psychosocial, emotional, financial, environmental resources and visit frequencies. Job Description Essential Functions: ●Completes accurate and complete psycho-social and bereavement assessments and reassessments. Participates in admissions, discharges and transfers, completing documentation within 2 work days. Other visit documentation is completed the same day, paper-clipped together with DAR (Daily Activity Report) and placed in the designated receptacle or faxed by M the next working day. ●Creates and updates the Plan of Care (POC) to include patient/family-centered goals with interventions that reflect the changing needs of the patient/family unit and is consistent with their current needs and desires. ●Provides emotional, socio-economic, psycho-social and bereavement support and supervises BSW. ●Provides direction, guidance, and motivation, leading to accomplishment of staff goals and objectives. Additional Requirements Required: Education - Bachelors degree in Social Services Certification - Licensed Clinical Social Worker - South Dakota Department of Social Services Preferred: Experience - 1+ years of Social Services Experience Education - Masters degree in Psychology or Sociology Physical Requirements: Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
