Summary of Position: The primary responsibilities of the Skilled Trades Technician are: To assist the Director of Operations and the campus as a whole; Perform maintenance functions related to different trades represented within the Operations area; Diagnose and perform routine repairs to campus facilities; Assist with set up and tear down of special events; Assist with department moves; and Provide leadership/mentoring/training for students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform any activity needed to set up or tear down special events and departmental moves; this includes the handling of materials, large and small; assist with campus deliveries as well as completion of scheduled work assignments and other duties as assigned
Act as first responder for maintenance issues on Campus during after-hours operations
Provide quality customer service and carry-out position responsibilities as assigned with integrity and maintain a professional image and manner consistent with Indiana Wesleyan University's mission and goals
May be required to work overtime as directed by supervision

Ability to lift seventy-five (75) pounds
Ability to operate a forklift or become a certified forklift operator
