Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years of experience performing professional-level HVAC tasks for a public or private-sector organization.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a Universal EPA Certification as required by Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations, Provision 82, Subpart F. Valid California driver's license.

This is an open and promotional recruitment to establish an eligibility list. Positions in this classification work 8 hours per day, 6:30 am - 3pm, 12 months per year.

The recruitment process will consist of a training and experience examination and structured interview. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, Operations & Transportation and the Maintenance Services Supervisor, perform a variety of skilled Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation activities; operate the Energy Management System; and maintain and repair industrial kitchen equipment.
