Under the supervision of the General Manager and Manager on Duty, performs a variety of duties with primary focus on excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Required to attend all training sessions and staff meetings

  • Practices excellent customer service

  • Assists customers with equipment

  • Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with staff and patrons

  • Ability to give proper directions and knowledge of local area

  • Skating on rink, monitoring skaters and enforcing all policies

  • Accurately handles cash and register transactions

  • Maintains a clean and safe facility

  • Assists managers with supervision of programs and activities

  • Responsible for alerting managers to any unsafe or potentially hazardous ice conditions

  • Required to be ready to work immediately at time of scheduled shift

  • Responsible for completing all other tasks as assigned by supervisor

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed in several settings:

  • An office environment

  • A recreational facility

  • Working indoors and outdoors

  • Some off-site promotion

  • Facilities which include working on ice

This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED

Standard office equipment that includes computers, fax and copy machines, telephones, and cash registers. Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include ice maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older

  • Customer service experience is preferred

  • Proficient ability to ice skate is preferred

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

The Role: * Maintain the safety and security of all staff, artists, vendors and guests. Create and maintain a positive and uplifting experience for diverse groups of individuals. Responsibilities: * Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility * Prevent and resolve altercations among guests * Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance * Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift * Check identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue * Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search * Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices * Safeguard against theft and property damage * Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights.
