The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Site Training Coordinator to work in a camp-based environment rotating on 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off schedule.

The Site Training Coordinator will be responsible for the operational training program development, implementation, and management. The position will report directly to the Manager, Health & Safety.
Operational Training Program Development, implementation and management;
Developing a detailed Operational Training Needs Analysis for the entirety of the operation;
Overseeing the selection, placement, training and mentoring of training coordinators within the operation;
Development and management of a detailed employee training database;
Ensuring Silvertip Operations meets or exceeds all regulatory and company operational training related requirements;
Maintain knowledge of company training and safety related policies and procedures affecting our operation;
Develop and set high standards, lead by example and promote a strong safety culture, and positive attitude with all operational personnel;
Ensure self performance and activities follow all company policies, procedures and Regulatory Codes and Standards;
Work closely with and assist the mine site Health and Safety department with integrating training related standards procedures into safety related programs;
Maintain good working knowledge of and experience in operating all types of mechanized underground equipment.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all safety policies and procedures and site rules pertaining to a Northern BC underground mining and ore processing operation;
Work with Health and Safety personnel to ensure compliance by all management, supervisors, and employees with British Columbia regulatory requirements as they relate to the safe and healthy operation of the mine site;
Develop health and safety programs and assist supervisors in implementation of same;
Minimum of five (5) years' hands on hard rock mining experience (Conventional & Mechanized);
Solid knowledge of mining systems and processes;
Previous mine training experience including the development and implementation of training programs;
Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Solid knowledge of governmental regulations as they relate to health, safety & training in a mining environment;
Previous Supervisory and mine rescue experience would be an asset;
Valid driver's license;
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.
