Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine tasks in the maintenance of facilities and grounds at Iroquois County; operates tractor for farming program; assists in the provision of hunting programs.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to graduation from high school and two years maintenance experience; requires possession of a valid driver's license; requires ability to obtain a pesticide applicator's license; requires working knowledge of equipment and tools used on site; ability to inform visitors of site programs, rules and regulations; requires physical ability to operate and maintain tools, equipment and materials utilized in the maintenance, repair and care of site resources, buildings and grounds; requires the ability to work under adverse conditions on a year round basis. Requires ability to lift, carry and transport loads which exceed sixty pounds; requires ability to walk over rough and broken terrain.
Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact:WORK HOURS
January 15-October 15: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:00 pm, 1/2- hour lunch, Saturday & Sunday off
October 16-January 14: Wednesday-Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 1/2-hour lunch, Monday & Tuesday off. During deer firearm season hours will be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
