We have an incredible opportunity to join our Supply Chain Team as the Site Supply Chain Leader in Milford, DE

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Site Supply Chain Leader oversees the site's planning, warehousing, and procurement teams.

The Site Supply Chain Manager is responsible for holistic supply chain for an FDA regulated facility, primarily producing class 2 medical devices and limited amounts of pharmaceutical products. Many of the raw materials and finished goods are chemicals and formulated products that require regulatory oversight (DHS, IATA, DOT, DNREC, etc.).

Responsibilities include:

Oversees the site's planning, warehousing, and procurement teams (6 direct reports, 41 total associates):

  • (5) member procurement team with ~$50M direct material spend across 200+ suppliers
  • (11) member planning team responsible for 2500 finished goods SKU's across ~100 brands generating over $250M in annual revenue
  • (19) member distribution team spanning across 3 locations in Milford, DE
  • (6) member printing department

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Plan and organize activities across procurement, planning, distribution, and logistics with control over departments such as receiving, warehouse, purchasing, master planning, and inventory control.

  • Oversee personnel responsible for master production schedules to ensure optimum utilization of all resources including materials, machinery, and manpower to achieve operations and business objectives.

  • Prepare reports and collaborate with cross-functional peers within the site, international SBU network, and corporate teams.

  • Assure that materials, supplies, and parts are received, handled, transported and stored in an efficient manner and in compliance with appropriate procedures and regulations (IATA, DOT, DHS, DNREC, etc.)

  • Establish and approve budgets for departments and implement controls to keep expenditures within budgetary limits.

  • Develop and mentor personnel to attain and maintain a high level of skill and proficiency

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Seven or more years' experience in supply chain (such as experience in operations, scheduling, procurement, and/or planning with demonstrated record of success) preferably in a similar highly regulated industry required.

  • APICS Certification (CIPM or CSCP) required.

  • Six Sigma Green belt or higher is preferred.

Key Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities:

  • Strong business partnering skills and business acumen.

  • Exhibited track record of successful strategic cost saving implementations

  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.

  • Strong collaboration with the Business Managers, Operations, Sales, Customer Service and Management will be critical to meeting business goals.

  • Experience in med device, pharma, or similar highly regulated environments highly preferred.

  • Experience in global production environments highly preferred.

  • Experience with creating high performing teams highly preferred.

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.

  • Strong command of ERP systems, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office and Internet applications. Experience with AX Dynamics ERP system a Plus.

  • Positive attitude in challenging environments.

  • Driven to produce a quality product; is goal-oriented.

  • Strong internal and external customer focus.

Summary: Performs manual and machine operation of various types of production equipment such as filling various components or containers, batching, labeling, machining, sorting, inspecting and packaging. Also includes responsibility for monitoring and assuring quality of product, making simple machine adjustments, keeping equipment in good working order, frequent cleaning of equipment and work area and counting and recording of production units and labor time. Key Responsibilities: * Must perform a diverse range of tasks related to operating a variety of manufacturing equipment utilized in the production of various products (i.e. opening, closing, mixing, filling, loading, inserting parts, capping products, tightening lids, sealing bags, etc.). * Moves freely around machine to assure all working mechanisms are operating properly and reach all necessary parts in machine to make adjustments, minor repairs, set-up, changeovers, etc. * Must be capable of standing at workstation for extended periods of time (8 hours or more) operating equipment or packaging products while closely monitoring and visually inspecting products and process. * Associate may work in a filling or packaging area, inspecting product, filling cartons, bags, or containers with products, applying labels, stamping product identification numbers, expiration dates, making boxes and placing product into final package. * Must be consistently able to produce error-free paperwork and check the paperwork of others. * Accountable for training other production operators at various job tasks. * Possess fundamental computer skills to augment production throughput. * Outstanding communication skills with both peers and supervisors.
