Nature of Work
This is a combination of direct service and administrative position offered by Way Station, Inc., requiring general knowledge of serious mental illness and specific knowledge and skill in rehabilitation with persons with disabilities. This position involves the provision of housing supports and coordination of overall services for individuals, and supervision of assigned staff. This is a salaried position. The Site Supervisor is expected, through training and experience, to exercise independent judgment with the supervision of the Program Manager.

Ability to perform individual assessment, planning and implementation in both structured and unstructured settings.
Ability to prioritize individual needs and manage time to complete assignments daily.
Ability to develop and maintain daily structure in individual residences.
Ability to communicate WSI's mission to the community through frequent interactions with neighbors, landlords and business people.
Ability to assess residential environments for health, safety, security, organization and home-like atmosphere.
Ability to accurately identify need for consultation.
Ability to provide leadership.
Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation concepts and the ability to instruct others on carrying out those concepts.
Ability to establish and maintain empowering, trust relationships with WSI individuals.
Ability to maintain appropriate relationship boundaries and to take corrective action when needed.
Willingness and ability to examine ones own behavior, feelings and attitudes to facilitate a productive relationship with consumers, providers, administrators and citizens throughout the county.
Skill in word processing and ability to learn computer skills.
Skill in time management and organization of job activities.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to guide effectively the assessment of individual service needs and organize appropriate intervention in a wide range of staff and individual situational interactions.
Ability to provide emergency coverage on overnights, evenings and weekends.
Willingness to support other staff on team.
Education and Experience
Possession of a bachelors degree in related field or an associates degree and work experience which uniquely qualifies the individual for the job.
Two years, positively referenced, preferably relevant work experience.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Possession or use of a four-passenger car to be used to transport Way Station individuals and a copy of a valid certificate of automobile insurance.
