The Performance Engineering practice within Accenture Technology is focused on optimizing the performance and scalability of enterprise applications through the combination of:

  • Testing: Analyzing, planning and executing production-like simulations across mobile and web solutions to identify & remediate performance problems, prevent production outages, and guarantee predictable performance.

  • Diagnostics & Monitoring: Instrumenting the complete application architecture to provide real user and system performance data to provide insight into the root cause of all application bottlenecks, enable real time visibility to reduce risk exposure.

  • Performance Analytics: Measuring the relationship between end-to-end performance, user behavior, and business goals to maximize the digital business, improve business KPIs, and increase client retention.

  • Business Optimization: Empowering digital businesses with contextual intelligence to visualize, quantify and maximize the business value of performance to improve the quality & performance of the business, increase customer satisfaction, and protect brand reputation.

As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, some of your key responsibilities may include:

  • Defining the strategy for enabling performance diagnostics and monitoring through the use of an Application Performance Management (APM) tool, other monitoring tools, and diagnostic techniques.

  • Identifying, evaluating, and recommending monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques relevant to the application architecture. Assess gaps in as-is monitoring tool capabilities and recommend tools to augment or replace.

  • Interacting with client and/or Accenture development, operations, and infrastructure resources to recommend solutions to remediate performance issues

  • Participating in re-architecture, redesign, and refactoring decisions to satisfy performance requirements

  • Developing dashboards and reports to provide ongoing visibility into the performance of client applications

  • Contributing learnings and experiences to the Accenture Performance Engineering community

  • 80-100% travel requirement, typically M-TH.

The Engineering Program Excellence organization within Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Manager committed and passionate about leading a team of Proposals Program Engineers. This position involves leading in a team environment with responsibilities in all phases of pursuit and proposals and must leverage multiple skill sets within engineering and proposal management. The Engineering Manager position is responsible for leading a team of pursuit and proposal engineers through the engineering pursuit/proposal process. The Manager is expected to work closely with the Capture Manager, Proposal Managers and Business Leaders and other Functional and Engineering Leaders. The Engineering Manager ensures tasking and work products assigned are completed on time and on budget, works to continuously develop the best proposal team support, and provides what their team needs to accomplish assigned activities. The Manager is also expected to participate in proposals, roadmap development business growth, and engineering process improvement actions. Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Secret Level security clearance; an active Secret or higher clearance a plus. Position can be located at Raytheon Intelligence & Space work sites, including Dulles, VA, Indianapolis, IN, Aurora, CO, Richardson, TX. Responsibilities and scope include: * Leading other Engineering proposal engineers, effectively executing engineering proposals, delivering on-budget, on-time, correct, high-quality, complete proposal products, utilizing IPDS-based Engineering work packages and productivity measures; * Developing Proposal Program Engineering (PPE) leadership staff to meet the needs of the Engineering Program Excellence team in support of the RIS business; * Using measurable proposal bidding productivity goals for every proposal with RIS engineering content; * Performing direct line management activities for PPE employees, including performance management, career development and resource allocation; * Owning and be accountable for the PPE proposal artifacts and tasks for the proposals supported; * Working closely with program managers to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment; * Providing engineering leadership to Capture and Proposal Teams with responsibility for the development of one or more proposal products. Helps teams align the proper resources and staff for developing proposal product requirements, detailed proposal and program plans, subcontractor statements of work (SOW), budgets, and Integrated master Plans (IMP) / Integrated master Schedules (IMS); * Interfacing with engineering teams, customers and users to build relationships and develop roadmaps and product ideas for meeting their needs; * Rapidly respond to customer Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) and support proposal teams in strategies to shape customer acquisition strategies; * Participation in proposal processes to develop and review cost estimates and proposal packages; * Participation as a member of the Engineering Program Excellence Leadership Team, flowing communication between the proposal teams and engineering leaders; * Maintains a professional attitude, to serve as an example to the team, with team members, other Functional areas, internal and external customers; * Work closely with the Engineering Program Excellence Department Managers in support of company goals and objectives. Required Skills: * Certified Proposal Program Engineer or equivalent * Proven experience in organizational and team development skills * Professional leadership and communication skills * Proven ability to lead an engineering team through the engineering pursuits and proposals processes * Demonstrated knowledge of other related disciplines (e.g. Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Configuration Management, Mission Assurance, Capture Management, Program Management) * Experience briefing (both written and oral) effectively to all levels of the organization, from peers to senior management * Experience with Office, Project, Visio, Windows Desired Skills: * Experience managing staff (hiring, tasking, feedback, and/or discipline) * Experience in capture management (create/reviewing RFPs, SOWs, BOEs, tech volumes, proposals) * Experience engineering pursuit/proposal leader * Experience in Engineering program execution and practice * Active Secret Security Clearance Education Requirements: * Bachelor's in STEM related degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics) and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience - or Master's in STEM related degree or MBA (complementing undergraduate STEM degree) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience preferred.
