Who You Are: The Site Reliability Engineer will execute and evangelize Reliability Engineering practices and activities across the entire R&D organization, providing best practices and ensuring our SaaS platforms are fully automated, monitored and stable from Deployment to Decommission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide automated and orchestrated management and technical solutions to complex problems for ZOLL Online's Canadian platforms. Provide guidance and expert support to product developers as part of ZOLL's Site Reliability Engineering team.

    Contribute to AWS architecture, development, maintenance, automation and orchestration for application pools, websites, data services, virtual networks, security, monitoring, service discovery and other platform services. Responsible for ensuring that assignments are delivered on schedule and in accordance with ZOLL quality standard. Contribute to the successful completion of all aspects of major programs.

    Contribute in defining and following patterns, best practices and strategies for source control, branching and deployments. Enhance platform services and stability of deployments with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, GIT, Artifactory, Jenkins and Packer Contribute in definition of and encourage patterns for local developer environments to ensure consistency across all products and production builds Define, promote, and maintain SRE best practices across the ZOLL organization and product lines Collaboratively participate with team members to identify areas for improvement and drive solutions. Participate with Architects and product development teams within Agile processes to build rock solid services and expand our SaaS portfolio Working in Jira to manage Agile story production and escalated technical issues.

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or Military experience Experience developing "infrastructure as code" in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google) 2 years of experience in DevOps 2 years of experience in server administration (Linux or Windows) 2 years of experience in scripting or development languages (Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, JSON, Java, AngularJS, Node.JS) Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt)

Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of Cloud experience Experience in Software Development 2+ years of system administration experience Experience with Agile Methodology and SRE practices Any one or more of the following: Amazon AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification Amazon AWS Certified Developer certification Amazon AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification Amazon AWS DevOps certification Bi-lingual English and French

As a Cell Technician, you'll be keeping our facilities and equipment in top form by maintaining several locations in your assigned area. You'll be doing regular maintenance, keeping inventories, doing audits, and creating reports. You'll also be analyzing our network coverage and finding ways to make it even better. * Performing installation, optimization and maintenance of base station equipment and transmitters. * Conducting building and grounds inspections and maintenance. * Maintaining site and test equipment inventories. * Analyzing network coverage to find gaps, making recommendations to improve coverage, and helping to implement those recommendations. * Integrating network hardware and interconnect facilities. * Updating daily logs with site-specific information and generating reports. * Performing audits when required by various departments or regulators. What we're looking for... You're tech savvy, and well-versed in all things telecommunications. Working independently suits you well. You're also thorough, vigilant, and on top of the details—someone people count on to solve problems and to make sure they don't happen in the first place. You'll need to have: * Associate's degree or two or more years of work experience. * Three or more years of relevant work experience. * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. * Valid driver's license. Even better if you have: * A degree. * Electronics training in telecommunications, two-way radio, paging, or microwave radio. * Training in data communications, digital communications, operating systems and applications, computer support, project management, or power. * Voice cells infrastructure experience, such as Lucent, Motorola, Ericsson, LTE, or CDMA data. * Telecom experience such as T1, DACS, or OMP. * Computer support experience, including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations. * Power experience such as Galaxy, Lorain, or DC distribution systems. * Experience troubleshooting antenna systems from transmitter to antenna. * Expertise in PIM/VSWR/MIMO/RET including knowledge of fiber and LTE remote radio heads.
