Umbra is launching an unrivaled constellation of space-based radar satellites with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) capabilities, to produce all weather day-night imagery with sub-meter resolution for low cost distribution via an integrated web platform. We are a bold, experienced team of developers, engineers, product specialists, and other professionals working to aggressively expand the state-of-the-art for commercial remote sensing. We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to championing the latest technologies and industry best practices in a startup environment. The ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to influence design decisions at an early stage and is comfortable wearing multiple hats as needed, applying a strong understanding of cloud security, infrastructure, and distributed web services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure, integration, cybersecurity and software deployment process
  • Guide the Software Engineering team on best practices, patterns, and vision for the application and automation infrastructure
  • Manage and tune cloud infrastructure, micro-service applications, and continuous integration systems

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Programming experience with Python, Node, or Go
  • Solid understanding of cloud and application security, identity, and compliance required
  • Experience with CI/CD build tools and pipelines
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment

DesiredQualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent and 3 - 5 years of experience working with cloud-based DevOps
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working with AWS, especially EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC Networking
  • Experience building highly automated environments, preferably using Terraform
  • 1 - 2 years of experience working with container orchestration platforms, preferably Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring principles, best practices, and implementation

The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have: * Previous experience with testing/specimen collection. * Excellent customer services skills. * Proven responsible and solid work ethic. Examples of Duties Perform swabbing duties at COVID-19 Testing Sites; includes specimen collection and other duties as needed.
