Site Reliability Engineer

Current Need:
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the team in the Atlanta, GA North Druid Hills office.
Position Description:
Are you interested in solving operations problems using modern software engineering practices? Do you get excited about running mission critical infrastructure? Do you believe the only way to scale reliably is through automation?
The Site Reliability Engineer will build and manage our Continuous Deployment pipelines. Applying software engineering practices to our work enables our services to better adapt to changes and failure scenarios. Writing software to manage the entire lifecycle of our infrastructure and build tools to help ensure it stays healthy. We place a premium on observability and build it into all the services we manage.
We expect the Site Reliability Engineer to develop a deep understanding of the services they support. Communication and cross-team coordination are paramount as you work to provide the best infrastructure and service possible.
Responsibilities:
Automating tasks, identifying process gaps, and finding automation opportunities especially around toil reduction.
Manage releases from creation to implementation by building Continuous Deployment pipelines, coordinating release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates.
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
Communicate all key release plans, commitments, and changes including schedule and scope changes.
Ensure application performance stays within defined SLOs within the SLA. Manage risks and resolves issues that affect applications, release scope, schedule and quality.
Lead efforts deploying, monitoring, scaling, and supporting application stack.
Promote solutions centered around a solid DevOps model (integration, security, delivery, metrics, logging, etc.). Mentor others on release best practices, review code, and set standards for automated solutions.
Provide guidance and expertise on application operation to other team members and teams within the organization.
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams.
Minimum Requirements:
Critical Skills:
3+ years of experience with Citrix configuration and or administration
2+ years of experience using Git based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.) and git branching strategies
Demonstratable proficiency with one or more shell, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, etc.) or similar programming languages (.NET, Java)
7+ years of experience managing, or administrating server operating systems based on Windows Server/IIS or Linux/Apache (or Tomcat)
Additional Skills:
Configuration management (GitHub Actions, Terraform)
Google Cloud and/or Microsoft Azure experience
Docker and Kubernetes
Proven incident/problem solving
Ability to analyze highly complex systems with specific attention to detail
Team player mentality with specific focus on inclusion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead teams in a high paced work environment without direct authority
Ability to execute and hold teams accountable to project deliverables.
Education:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S, now or in the future, without assistance or support from McKesson.
Relocation is NOT budgeted for this position.

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$132,400 - $220,600
