Essential functions

• Continuously monitor the health and performance of the content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure, caching mechanisms, and application load balancers.

• Performance optimization of the CDN, including setting up and maintaining monitoring tools to detect and respond to service interruptions, performance degradations, or bottlenecks.

• Design and implement fault tolerant systems and redundancy mechanisms.

• Implement optimizations to reduce latency and enhance content delivery speeds to end-users.

• Analyze CDN traffic patterns and usage trends to forecast capacity requirements and plan for future growth.

• Perform regular performance benchmarking.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize CDN configurations and implement security measures within the CDN infrastructure.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of CDN configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.

• At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:

• Akamai CDN

• HTTP and internet protocols

• Domain Name System (DNS) Management

• Terraform Infrastructure

• Linux System Administration

• Python Scripting

• Bash Scripting
