Site Origination Manager

Oriden Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for a Site Origination Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Originate utility scale solar project development opportunities focused on site control while evaluating permitting, interconnection, and revenue opportunities
Prospect and contract suitable greenfield sites thru land options, leases, and sales with landowners
Assist in creating initial site concept plans and work closely with the engineering team to identify risks and possible solutions for site constraints and other challenges
Interact with landowners, local government officials, project neighbors, investor representatives and utility contacts across multiple geographies to advance utility scale solar projects
Identify value-added and profitability influencers through development, regulatory and permitting analysis to improve project bankability
Ensure project-specific financial assessments capture all corresponding development, permitting and operational cost assumptions to support accurate financial modelling
Manage consultants and vendors responsible for critical development tasks to ensure on time delivery and accuracy of required work products
Coordinate the preparation and submission of interconnection applications and management of interconnection processes across various utilities/RTOs/ISOs.
Distilling relevant insights from state energy policies, utility Integrated Resource Plans and other public industry sources that lead to potential business opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Education

Qualified applicants will have the creativity and attention to detail necessary to develop utility scale solar projects. Display a strong drive to deliver results, persistent in overcoming obstacles and eager to take responsibility for making things happen in a complex development landscape.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred and may include project management, economic development, construction management, or engineering.

Education: Undergraduate degree in engineering or relevant field. Graduate degree a plus, but not required.
