What We Are Looking For

The Site Operator / Driver will perform Deliveries, general equipment operation and maintenance for assigned equipment and facilities including operation of front-end wheel loader, excavator, skid steer, wood grinders/chippers and bagging machines. The Site Operator will also be expected to make deliveries and help on site with contractors as well as load various transport tucks for delivery/sales. This position will be a part-time hourly position.

What You Will Do

• Operate front end wheel loader with bucket on uneven, soft terrain to turn/move wood chips, manure, sand, yard waste and compost mostly.

• Utilize front end loader to load and unload trucks.

• Operate excavator to feed screeners and grinders as necessary.

• Operate walking floor trailer to unload materials.

• Assist in operating bagging equipment.

• Inspects equipment or machines daily.

• Perform normal maintenance such as fueling, greasing machines, checking fluids, cleaning tracks, cleaning equipment cab and glass.

• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

• Assists with upkeep of the facilities, including opening and locking gates and picking up site garbage.

• Manage trucking and material delivery.

• Assist with taking and recording temperature readings from compost piles.

• Performs other related duties as assigned, including assisting other departments at other facility sites if necessary.

• Ability to drive and operate a small flat deck crane truck to assist with deliveries.

What You Will Need

• Current Class A CDL driver's license with tank and hazmat endorsement

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Relevant machine operation experience required.

• On-the-job training offered.
