Job Title: Site Manager

Overview:
The Site Manager will provide oversight and monitoring of maintenance and repair activities at client's national network of contracted depots and pool chassis yards (CY's). The Site Manager will participate in the activities related to the Operations Team and be responsible for the oversight of day to day operations functions at a particular location or locations. This person will have direct responsibility for leading a team of Mobile Service Unit Mechanics, maintaining the Out of Service Equipment, and overseeing the overall M&R operations at the location(s). Day to day responsibilities include dispatching mechanics, pre and post repair inspections, ordering and maintaining a parts and tire inventory, and general supervision of a team.
This person will also be responsible to interact with external & internal customers on a regular basis, including the field staff to coordinate and monitor depot related activities.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate, track and report on all repair activities at assigned location or locations
Ensure equipment availability is adequate to meet customer needs
Interact with internal customers in order to monitor and facilitate the timely off-hire, license plate replacements, and any other maintenance required for the equipment in assigned locations
Interact with field staff in coordinating activities for issue resolution
Maintain database and update in house system with status changes as required
Remarking unit numbers
Enter Spec Sheet data
Interact and coordinate movement of equipment repaired at 3rd party locations with transportation and depot teams
Provide oversight and review all activities as necessary at assigned locations that have a cost component: storage, handling, repairs, etc.
Monitor repair activities at depots and track production levels against target
Facilitate system evaluation of units as repair candidates
Ensure repairs are completed safely, timely, efficiently, and of the highest repair quality
Provide oversight in the review of and approval of all manual invoices received from depots
Monitor inventory levels and repairs in the client, and other customers chassis pool as necessary
Create Ad-hoc reports as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
For external candidates (outside of client) a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Transportation or Logistics Industry
For internal candidates already working at client, minimum 1 year of experience in a position relevant to the responsibilities above
PC literate / MS Office Product literate, especially Internet Explorer, Excel, Word & Outlook (Access a +)
Preferred experience working with a quality process / system (e.g. ISO, Six Sigma, TQM etc.)
Ability work within a process oriented team atmosphere
Ability to manage a team of 20 or more with the help of Working Supervisors
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team oriented work environment
Ability to identify problems, process resolution and implement action or solution timely
Ability to meet deadlines; prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks
Ability to learn company proprietary software programs

This highly visible Mid-West Senior Zone Manager will interact with and provide IT support to Eaton's senior leadership team. The Senior Zone Manager is responsible to lead and guide the mid-west SIS team, build organizational capabilities, as well as act as a point of escalation for customers at Eaton around their infrastructure issues and needs. Our customers include all of Eaton's users (local and remote). This role will manage a large (up to 40 team members with 10 – 15 direct reports including leader of leaders) virtual team consisting of a mix of co-located/remote employees.
