Responsible for Garyville, LA, site production of Evonik Superabsorber LLC, including Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics, and ESH (Environmental, Safety, Health) training. Directs and coordinates activities within the company to achieve business objectives, providing leadership to all site employees and interfacing with various functions to meet customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Management: Lead and coordinate site production, planning, engineering, maintenance, and quality control/management activities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees and the community.

• Compliance and Administration: Ensure all legal and regulatory compliance for the site. Act as the representative of the corporation and the site to city and community officials.

• EHSQ Oversight: Oversee and take ultimate responsibility for all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) matters at the site.

• Production Optimization: Enhance production capabilities to maximize corporate contributions while maintaining current equipment through appropriate maintenance programs.

• Workforce Management: Select, motivate, train, and retain a highly capable workforce, fostering an environment of mutual trust and open communication.

• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as necessary to support the site's objectives and operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or related field of study

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a management/supervisory position in the chemical process industry as a plant production superintendent or higher.

• Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Teamwork, teambuilding, leadership abilities.

• Ability to drive projects and opportunities.

• Ability to work across cultural boundaries.

• Understanding and integration of technical, non-technical, and business aspects of a chemical manufacturing facility.

• Ability to direct, train, and motivate support staff.
