The Site Manager oversees the Extended Learning program (before care, after care, and summer school) for its school site. The Site Manager is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, training, and continuous professional development of its staff in collaboration with other Site Managers and the Regional Director of Operations for the region. The Site Manager manages all of the staff, family , and regional communication for the extended learning program in collaboration with the school leadership team. The Site Manager works closely with the Regional Director of Operations to provide a high-quality extended learning experience for each student enrolled in the program. Site Managers are also responsible for collaborating with the finance team and families to ensure that payments are electronically collected from all families as well as maintaining appropriate records for the subsidy program.

Essential Functions

  • Staff Recruitment and Training:
  • Manages and develops all Extended Learning employees on site;

  • Provides coaching and ongoing feedback based on their performance;

  • Assist with recruitment and training of new employees for the Extended Day positions at their specific campuses;

  • Facilitates on-going professional development with extended day staff at each campus.

Essential Functions

  • Communication, Collaboration, and Compliance:
  • Understands and ensures all OSSE guidelines, including those for the subsidy program, are upheld with fidelity in collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations

  • Responsible for all walkthroughs and ensuring each classroom stays in compliance with OSSE guidelines at all times

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with school staff, community agencies and/or partner agencies;

  • Keep key school staff informed about extended day activities and events and provide them with oral and written feedback regularly including weekly scheduling;

  • Establishes and maintains communication with members of the school staff about student needs and aspects of the after school program;

  • Provides oral and written reports to the Regional Director of Operations and Regional teams as requested;

  • Monitors and communicates payment deadlines to families and contributes daily to collection of aftercare/before care funds through an online portal

  • Proactively communicates with families regarding the program, including curriculum, updates, staffing, and any other pertinent information;

  • Handles all proactive and reactive family communication as needed on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (required) at least two years of related experience (required)

  • Management experience strongly preferred, but not required

  • Strong commitment to supporting Rocketship students and community

  • Experience partnering with community programs and/or schools to maximize student and community engagement

  • Experience facilitating professional development training preferred

  • Excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to build relationships with program leaders, community members, and families

  • Highly organized, able to multitask, and consistently meet deadlines

  • Experience with online learning tools, databases, and Google Suite programming

  • Due to OSSE standards, the site director is responsible for maintaining compliance standards including Child and Family Services Agency ( Child Protection Registry check), a local fingerprint database check, Drug and Alcohol Testing, tuberculosis testing, and CPR/First Aid certification and other continuing education training as well

$82,000 - $92,000 a year

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally climb ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.

Compensation:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
