Under the direction of the Child Development Center

  • Program Manager, Early Care and Education (ECE), responsible for the day-to-day operations of the child development center; provide a comprehensive child development and early educational program for infants, toddlers and preschool age children; provide an environment in which each child can grow emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically according to his/her needs, ability level and maturity; collaborate with staff and outside agencies; coordinate curriculum and staff development, assessments, site evaluation, and parent involvement; coordinate parent involvement in activities; provide for the instruction and custodial needs of the children; maintain health and safety standards; maintain all requirements of a Head Start program, general child care program for infants/toddlers, and state preschool program; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Salary Placement: The successful applicant will be placed on the appropriate salary schedule based on the range of the position being filled.

The successful applicant will be placed on Step 1 unless given credit for prior verified related professional experience. Applicant shall provide all related professional experience on application materials to complete the years of experience verification. All of the following documents are required for this position:

  • Copy of Transcript (Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or related field. Three (3) semester units or equivalent quarter units from an accredited or approved college or university in infant and toddler care preferred.)

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Valid First Aid and CPR AED certificate issued by an authorized agency.)

  • Credential Copy (Valid California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.)

  • Letter of Introduction

  • Letter(s) of Reference (Required: Two (2) Letters of Reference. It is recommended that letters of references be authored by professional affiliations and specific to the open position)

  • Resume
