POSITION PROFILE

Supervises day-to day operations and staff of MS sites. 80% of time should be spent in managing duties, no more than 20% in operating production equipment. Develops, implements and reviews related procedures. Invoices accounts and interacts with customer; assists in maintaining acceptable profit levels and ensures that customer expectations are met. High degree of customer interface. Responsible for 7-12 employees or $50 - 80K in services revenue per month at a single site.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves shift profitability in the area of cost of goods by effectively supervising the shift in the use of company materials and supplies.

  • Manages total production labor percentages by achieving percentage of production worker labor and quality control labor established by the company.

  • Meets quality and deadline standards by the effective use of job scheduling practices.

  • Handles formal contact with the customer on a daily basis in MS and as needed in BDS/LDS.

  • Provides training on work flow and machine operations when necessary.

  • Ensures the quality of operations for shift by assisting in the achievement of goals in Audit and Deadline compliance.

  • Increases employee retention by achieving turnover and average tenure goals.

  • Maintains efficient workflow by holding direct reports accountable for quality and efficiency of their work.

  • Improves quality of operations and improves consistency by implementing company performance and operation procedures.

  • Ensures that location is properly staffed by matching employee skills and equipment with production demands.

  • Facilities resolution of issues concerning pricing, orders-in and invoicing by interacting and communicating with sales department.

  • Motivates employees and recognizes their accomplishments in a timely manner.

  • Clearly communicates job expectations/consequences of employees by training, cross-training, coaching, counseling, directing, evaluating the work of subordinates to increase their work output and work quality.

  • Completes site reports and other paperwork as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

  • High school or GED is required.

  • 3+ years experience in a related field is required.

  • Experience in delivering classroom and/or informal training sessions are required.

  • Experience in operation of the most advanced machines, performing complex jobs, is required.

Northrop Grumman is looking for a Project Manager to support the TSA Specialized Security Training (SST) Program for aviation security training. The TSA SST TO Manager will be key in supporting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and its mission to protect the nation's transportation systems-ensuring freedom of movement for people and commerce. The Project Manager will manage all aspects of the TSA Federal Flight Deck Officer Training program, to include schedule and budget performance and day to day tasking. The Project Manager will work directly for the TSA SST IDIQ Manager and in coordination with the other task order managers to perform the required tasking in the most efficient manner possible. The work location is McLean, VA. Job Duties: * Responsible for daily operations of a team, schedules, costs and day to day contract execution * Lead team in the design and roll out of instructional training * Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of the TSA Federal Flight Deck Officer Training program as part of the larger TSA SST program * Works for the TSA SST IDIQ Manager, and works with the other Task Order Managers, management and functional staff within the program, and stakeholders and customers across the TSA * Ensures overall successful contract execution within expected cost, schedule and performance parameters * Responsible for developing proposals, baselining costs and schedules, developing and maintaining project schedules, financial forecasts and analysis, contract financial deliverables and customer interface * The candidate will have management responsibilities for Northrop Grumman employees and tasking responsibilities for subcontractor employees To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our selecting the Best Qualified Managers video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideo Basic Qualifications: * An Associate's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience OR a Master's with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. * Demonstrated experience in security and firearm training curriculum related to Federal Flight Deck Officer responsibilities. * Prior P&L management experience for a government contract value of $10M or greater annual budget, with demonstrated experience reporting program status, staffing, financial reports, and operational risks/opportunities. * Experience leading personnel and managing activities across internal and subcontractor staff. * Experience presenting and communicating with government customers and SES leadership. * Active Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain DHS TSA EOD * US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain required clearance Preferred Qualifications: * A minimum of 6 years of experience developing and delivering training curriculum specific to airline flight deck safety and firearm safety * Experience in aviation industry and business culture of commercial airline pilots * Experience proposing and managing a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) contract Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
