Job Description:

The HR Business Partner position is located in Buffalo Grove, IL and is both a strategic and hands-on role that will partner with the General Manager and the leadership team to develop and deploy strategic planning objectives to build a dynamic organization that delivers significant and sustainable growth.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Act as a partner, advisor to management staff; advising on matters related to talent management, organizational development, leadership, and strategic planning.

  • Partner with site leaders to ensure understanding of organizations supported including key business and financial metrics, strategic initiatives.

  • Partner with site leader to understand organization needs in terms of achieving maximum performance and efficiency.

  • Plan, implement and facilitate HR initiatives (workforce planning, performance reviews, employee engagement, talent review, succession planning, compensation planning)

  • Partner with staffing and contingent labor agencies; provide guidance to managers, advise on salary recommendations

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues

  • Monitor the "pulse" of the employees; analyze data/trends to help drive improvements taking a proactive approach.

  • Coordinate and communicate various training requirements including management, safety, security, Code of Conduct, etc.

  • Manage employee communication and feedback mechanisms via department meetings, employee satisfaction surveys, employee focus groups, and one-on-one meetings.

  • Ensures the consistent treatment of employees and the consistent application of human resources policies and procedures.

  • Counsels management on policy interpretation and legal awareness. Advises and investigates (when applicable) regarding the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Assists in the administration of the disciplinary procedure.

  • Clearly present information and prepare reports for management.

  • Must have exposure or experience in medical manufacturing

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or Business, or equivalent experience in the HR field

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in HR across all major functions.

  • Ability to influence senior management on key organizational and management concerns.

  • Effective change management experience; understanding how and when to drive critical change.

  • Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills. Strong process orientation and attention to detail.

  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention, and reward programs.

  • Enthusiastic team player with strong drive for positive work environment.

  • A strong solution focus; comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • 5% to 10% travel required.

  • Proficient with Flex systems such as Workday, Kronos, Pulse, MS office

  • Here is some of our preferred experiences:

  • Certified Professional Human Resource Professional (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)

  • Proficiency of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) will be a plus

  • Prior Human Resources experience with Flex International

  • International project experience

Account in compliance with US Gaap. * Develop detailed analysis of cost and profitability drivers per account and per customer to determine variations, deviations and trends to support profitable growth. * Perform analysis of product sales, profit margins on parts, waste, selling price, cost and material consumption. * Analyze distribution of fixed costs to ensure fair and accurate allocation of site resources and full absorption of site costs. * Profit reconciliation: compare customer quotation (quoted volume and % of MFG costs) versus current and expected manufacturing cost to determine opportunity areas in projects and to increase profitability. * Analyze cost of wages and benefits to better forecast each quarter. * Analyze key metrics such as PPV%, LCM%, GPCM%, Fixed Expense %, Transformation Cost % and identify and initiate activities to improve the metric. * Analyze NRE accounts to ensure timeous recovery from customers and ensure spending in line with approved amounts. * Ensure standardized presentation of financial information throughout the different business units. * Leverage TM1 and other reporting tools to streamline reporting, analysis and communication of results. * Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business. * Additional duties as assigned.
