Electrical FIELD ENGINEER II - EPC

Provides technical and engineering support to the construction team.
Coordinates with Home Office Procurement Department and Engineering Group on equipment/material deliverables, damaged equipment, material shortages.
Assists in the administration, planning, coordination and monitoring of the technical side of the project.
Responsible for the resolution of technical field issues and the subsequent documentation of the final installations.
Responsible for providing productivity reports, tracking progress by work area and by system completions.
Responsible for managing the field Request for Information (RFI) process and maintaining RFI logs.
Assists in the preparation of change orders.
Responsible for generating field material requisitions and submitting to onsite procurement group for purchase.
Manages Submittals for Client / Engineering Approval and maintains Submittal Status Log for Matrix and subcontractors.
Responsible for ensuring all codes, standards and policies are adhered to.
Maintains open communication with subcontractors and vendors to address technical RFIs and communicate scope changes and field resolutions.
Reviews subcontractor change order proposals for accuracy of quantities, conformance with contract documents and subcontractor scope of work.
Coordinates engineering studies and assists Engineering Discipline Leads in solving engineering and design problems.
Responsible for setting up on site field training for employees.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date copy of all redlined and As-Built drawings on site.
Assists in systemizing project scope and prepares sub-system turnover packages.
Responsible for providing a contractor's evaluation report with contractor present and submit to procurement at close out of project.
Assists in mechanical completion punch list walk downs with Discipline Superintendents and Client Representatives.
Assists in the creation and sign-off of the mechanical completion punch list items.
Responsible for providing a lesson learned at close out of project.
Works with QA/QC and Procurement in collecting and packaging all close out documentation.
Works on special projects assigned and directed by supervisor or the Sr. Construction Engineer.
Perform other related duties, as directed.
This position is based in Maxton, NC.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
4+ years' experience in heavy construction engineering or surveying experience required
Working knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment, assigned discipline design and overall engineering standards is necessary
Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Word and Excel
Overtime will be required
Licensed Professional Engineer or EIT is preferred not required
Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.
Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Work make include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
