Overview

Inovalon is the nation's largest medical record reviewer. To accomplish this, Inovalon utilizes Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Clerks to go to physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and other clinical facilities to obtain and/or review medical data. Inovalon does these reviews in all 50 states around the nation.

Inovalon is currently recruiting Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Clerks to perform medical record reviews in the field. Inovalon offers highly competitive hourly compensation as well as compensation for mileage traveled. Inovalon reviewers are provided with a laptop and full abstraction and technology training. Both part-time and full-time hours are available.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently conduct medical record review/abstraction services;

  • Scan relevant components of the medical record to support reviews performed;

  • Electronically download review assignments to the laptop and data collection tool; daily upload completed assignments and scanned medical records;

  • Participate in required training;

  • Complete quality, accuracy and inter-rater reliability testing as requested in a timely manner;

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with care provider offices, clinics, hospitals, other clinical facilities and Inovalon staff;

  • Travel to medical facilities in specified area of region from home to complete review services as assigned by Inovalon;

  • Represent Inovalon with medical facility staff; and

  • Abide by all HIPAA and associated patient confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Clerk;

  • Clinical experience; prefer experience in performing chart abstractions;

  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines;

  • Computer literate and detail oriented;

  • Professionally skilled in verbal and written communication;

  • Available to perform reviews no less than 24 hours a week;

  • Must be willing to travel; and

  • Must have high speed internet access.

In short, you love building real, working apps that surprise and amaze your customers. Under general supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Analytics Software Engineer is involved in the entire process from gathering requirements, system design, heads down coding, all the way through to supporting QA and user acceptance testing efforts. The Analytics team works on a wide variety of projects from Angular web interfaces to customer facing REST API's to Hadoop queries. A large portion of our software runs in the cloud on the Azure platform, so you will be using the latest in cloud DevOps processes. For a full stack developer, this is an excellent opportunity to stay broad and keep up to date. Primary Accountabilities: * Technical (90%) * Design, develop, test, deploy, and support new software solutions and changes to existing software solutions * Collaborate with team members and provide thoughtful discussion on tactics and strategies as they are selected * Translate business requirements and product specifications into components of complex, loosely-coupled, distributed systems * Work effectively across a broad spectrum of cutting-edge technologies and keep pace with evolving trends * Write scalable, usable, robust systems * Operational (10%) * Troubleshoot technical issues in a variety of application environments Required Qualifications: * B.S. in computer science or information systems required, or 5+ years related work experience * Experience working with Agile and/or Lean software development approaches * Experience translating modern UX designs into user interfaces using Bootstrap, LESS, CSS, and HTML. * Broad and deep web application development experience leveraging TypeScript, Angular and REST API's * Comprehensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Web API, relational and NoSQL databases * Previous experience with queuing technologies such as Azure Storage Queues, MSMQ or RabbitMQ * Previous experience developing in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS Preferred Qualifications: * Familiar with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or other big data / analytic tools * Familiar with web testing frameworks such as Protractor or Selenium * Familiar with source control systems and tools, including Git, TFS or Visual Studio Team Services * Familiar with Linux shell scripting and/or Python * Familiar with BI tools like Tableau, Incorta, Kendo, D3 Individual Competencies: * Integrity: Gains the trust of others by taking responsibility for own actions and telling the truth. * Teamwork: Builds relationships and works cooperatively with others, inside and outside the organization, to accomplish objectives to build and maintain mutually-beneficial partnerships, leverage information and achieve results. * Adaptable: Responds to change with a willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work objectives with a positive attitude. * Innovative: Ability to develop, sponsor, or support the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures or technologies. * Curious: A desire to inquire and learn, to seek new knowledge and wisdom, and to listen to the contributions of others with a genuine interest to better self, the team, and the organization. * Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach. * Problem Solving: Gathers and analyzes information to generate and evaluate potential solutions to problems, issues and challenges while weighing the accuracy and relevance of the facts, data and information.
