Inovalon is the nation's largest medical record reviewer. To accomplish this, Inovalon utilizes Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Clerks to go to physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and other clinical facilities to obtain and/or review medical data. Inovalon does these reviews in all 50 states around the nation.

Inovalon is currently recruiting Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Clerks to perform medical record reviews in the field. Inovalon offers highly competitive hourly compensation as well as compensation for mileage traveled. Inovalon reviewers are provided with a laptop and full abstraction and technology training. Both part-time and full-time hours are available.


  • Accurately and efficiently conduct medical record review/abstraction services;

  • Scan relevant components of the medical record to support reviews performed;

  • Electronically download review assignments to the laptop and data collection tool; daily upload completed assignments and scanned medical records;

  • Participate in required training;

  • Complete quality, accuracy and inter-rater reliability testing as requested in a timely manner;

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with care provider offices, clinics, hospitals, other clinical facilities and Inovalon staff;

  • Travel to medical facilities in specified area of region from home to complete review services as assigned by Inovalon;

  • Represent Inovalon with medical facility staff; and

  • Abide by all HIPAA and associated patient confidentiality requirements.


  • Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Clerk;

  • Clinical experience; prefer experience in performing chart abstractions;

  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines;

  • Computer literate and detail oriented;

  • Professionally skilled in verbal and written communication;

  • Available to perform reviews no less than 24 hours a week;

  • Must be willing to travel; and

  • Must have high speed internet access.

We provide critical oncology services to 1,400 patients per day and we celebrate the exceptional care we have provided over the past twelve years as well as our continued growth. We have an immediate need for a part time Medical Assistant to join our team! SCOPE: Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physicians schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate. * Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. ]-Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician and verifies presence of consent prior to treatment or procedures. -Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed. * Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested. * Assists with delegated patient education including but not limited to distributing education literature, etc. * Obtains blood specimens from peripheral sites as needed and in accordance with OSHA and universal precautions. * Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, including but not limited to, hormones and biological growth factors. * Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols. * Processes instruments and equipment as needed. * Answers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist. * Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN. * Schedules patient tests, procedures and hospital admissions and schedules appointments to follow-up on receipt of test results, as applicable. * Assists with select pre-authorizations and pre-certifications as needed. Informs physician of patient reschedules and no shows. * Obtains new patient records and previous test results, x-rays, scans, etc. * Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing reception, etc, as requested by supervisor or physician. * Maintains indigent drug program and sample drug program as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants strongly preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred.
