Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to oversee our consumer and sensory research facility, including focus groups. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of site operations, including research projects, client interactions, team leadership, and facility maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of consumer research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of sensory and consumer research, as well as culinary fundamentals like safe food handling and standard cooking techniques.

  • Collaborate effectively in a team setting, managing multiple priorities, and adjusting support levels to meet project demands.

  • Organize and execute projects, ensuring adherence to protocols by sensory technicians.

  • Participate in weekly department meetings, providing project status updates and assisting Project/Research Managers and clients as needed.

  • Supervise and schedule Sensory Technicians, overseeing tasks such as inventory management, coding, cleaning, and product procurement.

  • Manage inventory accurately and efficiently, communicating updates and coordinating procurement activities as required.

  • Procure supplies, products, and equipment when necessary, including testing materials, cleaning chemicals, and hygiene supplies.

  • Maintain facility cleanliness through regular cleaning routines and oversee specific tasks for Sensory Technicians during and between projects.

  • Provide direction, support, and motivation to Sensory Technicians, ensuring a safe and organized working environment.

  • Adhere to Food Safety guidelines rigorously and coordinate training and certification programs for Sensory Technicians.

  • Assist with expenses tracking and reporting, as well as hiring and training new Sensory Technicians as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of management experience.

  • Prior experience in Hospitality, Food Industry, or culinary fields is highly desirable.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Possession of or willingness to obtain certifications in First Aid, Food Handling, and SafeServe.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • Positive attitude with strong adaptability to a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
