We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Coordinator I located at St. Jospeh's Hospital in Eureka, CA .

The Site Coordinator I acts as a liaison to internal and external customers, and provides support to the site medical director and provider group. Works with the billing coordinator, appropriate staff and available resources to identify and obtain missing charts, dictation, physician documentation and other information necessary for professional and/or facility coding. Ensures the proper preparation and accountability of the Emergency Department charts for the Emergency Department physician billing.

Responsibilities

  • This is a temproary, full time position.

  • Obtains a copy of current Emergency Department log on a daily basis.

  • Identifies and marks log /track sheets of hospital admittance, outpatient services, direct admits. Submits billing information, counts records to ensure reconciliation with the Emergency Dept. log, and submit trauma patient billing.

  • Answer phone calls and handle inquiries.

  • Collects previous day's patient charts, sorting in date and time order.

  • Reconciles missing or suspended list with required lag time.

  • Collects critical care charges of procedures, such as procedures performed in ICU/hospital and obtains/pulls charts, demographic, and insurance information.

  • Maintains copy of billing information.

  • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an administrative role in the medical field and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical and organizational skills.

  • High computer aptitude, including knowledge of Excel, Word and other Windows applications.

  • Ability to handle multiple functions and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Demonstrates capability to meet new and stressful situations and demands in diplomatic manner.

  • Neat, appropriate and professional appearance.
